In a distant future, advanced technology has replaced most human labor, while capitalism has widened the divide between social classes. As a result, suicide rates have reached unprecedented levels. In response, a powerful psychology corporation launches a project to study human behavior and uncover how the mind processes self-oppression. Participants undergo an experimental pharmaceutical trial, taking pills that transport them into a journey through their own subconscious. Within this internal landscape, their psychology is projected back to them—altered with deliberate edits and artifacts generated by the corporation through the medication. They experience their minds as immersive, symbolic environments that reveal the mechanisms sustaining their psychological oppression.
