Language-as-machine
Designed three promotional exhibition posters for Language-as-Machine and also contributed to the Computed Language exhibition, which featured a collection of posters.
Computed Language Description:
This collection of posters initiates a research effort surveying notable developments in language throughout the history of computing—a history that continues to unfold. These developments are deeply intertwined with our daily lives, often blending seamlessly into our routines, while the technical details of computational systems can remain obscured by their inherent complexity and specialized nature. As a result, significant innovations may go unnoticed by those outside their respective fields.
The collection aims to highlight a spectrum of historical instances, from radical innovations to evolutionary dead ends, showcasing typefaces, technologies, and individuals that mark key points in the computational timeline and its diverse branches. Each poster celebrates the importance, impact, or influence of its subject and is presented as an edition of 32 hand-printed pieces.
